Depression is a highly prevalent and impairing condition often characterized by isolation, avoidance, and reduced engagement in meaningful activities. Behavioral Activation (BA) is a structured, evidence-based intervention grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that targets these patterns by helping clients reengage with value-driven behaviors. Research continues to support BA as an effective treatment for depression across diverse populations (Gawrysiak et al., 2020; Richards et al., 2023). This training will introduce clinicians to the key behavioral features of depression and the theoretical foundations of BA, including how avoidance reinforces the downward spiral of mood and behavior. Participants will learn how to apply core components of BA such as daily activity monitoring, identifying personal values, and planning goal-directed activities to help clients interrupt depressive cycles and build momentum toward recovery.

This six-hour training provides clinicians with a comprehensive introduction to trauma-informed care, integrating current research with clinical best practices. Participants will learn to recognize the wide- ranging effects of trauma and identify common clinical presentations, such as difficulty with trust, heightened arousal, and affect regulation challenges (SAMHSA, 2014; DePierro et al., 2022). Core principles of trauma-informed care—including safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural responsiveness—will be discussed with practical strategies for creating therapeutic environments that support recovery (Hales et al., 2023). The training will also highlight evidence- based assessment and treatment approaches with demonstrated effectiveness across diverse populations (Lewis et al., 2020). Finally, attention will be given to vicarious trauma and clinician well- being, with strategies to promote resilience (Bercier & Maynard, 2015; Mollica et al., 2021). By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with tools to deliver more attuned, effective, and sustainable trauma-informed care.
trauma-informed guilt reduction therapy (trigr) intensive

Moral injury (MI), along with trauma-related guilt and shame, is highly prevalent among trauma- exposed clients and is associated with more severe and treatment-resistant mental health outcomes (Norman et al., 2022). Trauma-Informed Guilt Reduction Therapy (TrIGR) is an evidence-based intervention developed to directly target maladaptive guilt and moral injury following traumatic exposure. This two-day, 10-hour intensive training provides an in-depth, applied examination of the TrIGR protocol. Participants will move beyond an introductory overview to develop a working understanding of the model, including case formulation, protocol structure, and clinical decision- making. The training will cover appropriate case selection, contraindications, and common clinical challenges in implementation. Participants will also learn how to flexibly apply TrIGR across a range of trauma presentations and treatment settings through guided instruction, case examples, and protocol demonstration. By the conclusion of the training, participants will be equipped to implement TrIGR with greater fidelity and clinical confidence.

Anger is a natural human emotion, but when it becomes frequent, intense, or poorly regulated, it can significantly impact personal relationships, occupational functioning, and overall mental health. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been shown to be an effective, evidence-based approach for helping individuals recognize, understand, and manage problematic anger (Deffenbacher & White, 2020; Öst et al., 2022). This training will introduce clinicians to key cognitive and behavioral tools for anger management, grounded in CBT principles. Participants will learn how to differentiate between adaptive and maladaptive expressions of anger, address common myths about anger, and identify the unique patterns and triggers that perpetuate a client’s anger response. The course will emphasize practical strategies clinicians can use to support clients in developing more constructive ways of expressing and regulating anger.
understanding and assessing moral injury among trauma-exposed clients
Where: On-Demand | Cost: $39.99 | Target Audience: Clinicians | CE Hrs: 3 CEs*

Although moral injury is highly prevalent among trauma-exposed therapy clients (Bryan et al., 2013), it is not well understood and often goes unaddressed in a clinical setting. In this training, Dr. Brooke Bartlett, Ph.D., will provide mental health clinicians with foundational information about moral injury among trauma-exposed therapy clients. The training will define moral injury, identify symptoms of moral injury, differentiate moral injury and posttraumatic stress, and discuss the theoretical framework for how moral injury develops. It will also identify populations that are at higher risk of developing moral injury. Lastly, Dr. Bartlett will also discuss scientifically supported assessment tools for moral injury, and barriers to assessment and identification.
Treating health anxiety with exposure-based cbt
Where: On-Demand | Cost: $39.99 | Target Audience: Clinicians | CE Hrs: 3 CEs*

Health anxiety is a common and distressing condition that can significantly impact an individual’s quality of life. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with exposure-based techniques has been shown to be highly effective in treating health anxiety by helping individuals confront and tolerate uncertainty about their health (Sharrock et al., 2021). This training will provide clinicians with a comprehensive understanding of how health anxiety manifests, how it is maintained, and how to treat it effectively using exposure-based CBT. Participants will learn how to identify symptoms of health anxiety, how to structure CBT sessions, and how to design individualized exposure exercises that target the core fears driving their clients’ anxiety. By the end of the training, clinicians will be equipped with practical tools to help clients break the cycle of health-related anxiety and regain confidence in their ability to manage uncertainty.
applying the interpersonal-psychological theory of suicide in clinical practice and prevention
